'Fraid I can't help you with designs... I kind of fail at mechanical things. I mostly deal with live things like fish...
Now, I can kind of help with hiding and appearance. If it's going to be a little box, it needs to be easy to unfold really fast and without thinking... Very rarely is a tazer needed in a calm situation. Maybe if it had some kind of pressure switch? But then you'd kinda have problems if you sat on it... Hmm...
