so from left to right
no. 1 is Regular i tried to get what average light saber looks like with out any artsy weirdness

no.2 is Compressed now this looks different depending what you see it in so i just went for the lore which says its a more focused blade created by processing the crystal. the Compressed kyber is less likely to brake and allows for more accurate strikes but has slightly less cutting power .

no.3 is cracked/unstable, which used to mean sparks but since kylo has meant plasma flames. these blades have much more cutting power but are much more unstable as well and can blow up in its wielders hands like a grenade

no.4 is ancient ,so the dark saber is really are only example so i decided the way it works is that a Kyber crystal gets micro cracks and naturally partly Compressed over time this explains why the dark saber is both more focused than a normal light saber but also why it makes sparks its a bit cracked but only on the out side and its a bit condensed from long time use so if your Jedi ever finds an old kyber crystal it may be like this. it has some yet to be described increase in power but is also temperamental not allowing its self to be wielded properly by those it deems unworthy its a cranky old man lol .

no. 5 is carved i made this one up completely when a Jedi has a vary special bound with their Kyber crystal and they are a vary skilled craftsmen it becomes possible to hone such a blade through a risky process known as carving light..

The first person to ever make a light saber like this was master Zen Odd an important character in my up coming Star wars fan fic ! carved kyber light sabers are nearly impossible to weld by any one but the person that made them . they seem to have their own personaltys they also get the benefits of being both condensed and cracked with out the down sides however the Jedi fear such blades for their heretical nature and the number of Kyber crystals that can be destroyed in the process of making the ''perfect blade''!
Master Zen Odd has abilitys with his carved Kyber light saber called Deep horizon that no other Jedi has had before. Zen Odd supplements his lack of raw power offensively with creativity allowing the force to guide him to unique strategys that make Master Zen Odd absolutely unpredictable and deadly in battle this light saber represents his unique connection to the force so he never parts with the blade easily !
