Ray was born on a small forgotten planet known as Rhubarb,a place where the quality of life is far from luxurious,he lived there until the age of 15,when he was taken by hes mother,president of a fierce crime mafia known as the Blu Moon Syndicate.
He would then spend the next 20 years of he's life,in the shadow of he's possessive over controlling mother,who makes up for her awful attitude,by offering him anything money can buy and at the same time,deprived him of what he really wants which is spending time with decent people,who would care for him as person,rather than for he's riches.
He would have rarely any choice in most of he's life decision,as he's mother would always tell him how to act and what to do,but until one day,getting involved into a suspicious mining operation on planet Xtal,would get him the honor of an unexpected visit,that would change he's life.

The BZ on he's jacket is the symbol of the intergalactic currency,the Space Boozle.
Trivia:He's kind of a weird mix of Spamton from Deltarune,Roland from the 90s Sabrina the teenage witch and prince Valium from Spaceballs.

In my head he sounds like Salem Saberhagen from the 90s Sabrina the teenage witch.
