Here it is! Florynsalis’ overblot form! This was really fun to make, I love the way the color scheme turned out. It reminds me of a wilting rose. The thorn shackles wrapped around her wrists are also one of my favorite parts of the design as well and the thorn clown is a pretty good touch as well. I wanted the crown and shackles of thorns to symbolize how Florynsalis feels helpless and trapped as well as her insecurities about being the next in line for the throne. She’s still a teenager, she is a crippling shy girl, she has anxiety and she can’t control her magic. So of course she heavily doubts herself as the future queen.

I also came up with a chapter about how Florynsalis would overblot and the aftermath of it. So here we go.

The chapter begins with Stellara excitedly visiting NRC to meet up with her friend Ortho. While the two kids are talking, Yuu, Grim, Ace and Deuce would stumble in on their conversation which Stellara doesn’t mind. She then explains to them that it’s going to be Florynsalis’ birthday tomorrow and how she is planning to throw a surprise party for her in hopes that it would cheer her up. The braincell quartet would happily offer to help set up for the party and Stellara accepts. She even invites them to the party as well.

The next day, Yuu and the others would be brought to DCA thanks to Allison who uses her door spell. Stellara decided to hold the party in the forest near Rosadormienti where there are plenty of beautiful roses growing. Along for the ride are Cerule, Floyd, Jade, Azul, Leona, Ruggie, Jack, Ortho, Idia (who got dragged here by Stellara), Dede, Tink, Fawlynn and Briar, all of whom were also invited by Stellara. Florynsalis would be doing some dress fitting with Tanamira and Val and Stellara sends both Dede and Tink to go and get them while she and the other guests finish setting up the finishing touches. When the three arrive at the garden, everyone jumps up and yells surprise, but instead of being happy like Stellara had hoped, Florynsalis nervously excuses herself and runs off.

Tanamira explains that two days prior, Florynsalis had told her that she didn’t want to celebrate her birthday. This makes Stellara very upset since she just wanted to throw a nice and fun party for her big sister. When Tanamira and Val leave to go after Florynsalis, Stellara sits down defeated at the base of a large upturned log near a small cliff. Allison, Cerule and Floyd, hoping to cheer Stellara up, suggest that it would be fun to climb the log and see how far they can go near the edge, despite Yuu and Ortho doubting it to be safe.

Cut to a small clearing, Tanamira and Val find Florynsalis tearing up while looking at a photograph of her and her family that was taken a month before her fifthteenth birthday. After talking for a bit about how much Florynsalis misses her parents and how her birthday is now nothing but a reminder of their deaths, Tanamira manages to convince Florynsalis to try giving her birthday another chance along with Val. After a bit more talking, Florynsalis caves in and agrees, but secretly, her blotting has already begun.

Cut back to the party, once Allison, Floyd, Cerule and even Grim all climb onto the log, Stellara is about to join them when she hears Florynsalis screaming at her and is suddenly dragged away from the log. Florynsalis scolds Stellara in a panic, despite Val, Briar and Tanamira’s best efforts to calm her down, before she turns to the others. In a blind panic, she yells at Floyd, Cerule and Allison, calling them bad influences on her sister. While they are arguing, Stellara, finally reaching her boiling point and tired of her sister being too overprotective of her, decides to climb up the log. Floyd notices and yells,

“Oh my gosh, Stellara’s climbing the log!”

Seeing this, Florynsalis yells at Stellara to get down immediately, but Stellara ignores her and stands near the edge. Without saying a word, Stellara looks back at Florynsalis and with an expression that says, “I can take care of myself”, she starts to lightly bounce on her toes. Florynsalis, having a sinking feeling about what her sister plans to do, yells at her that if she took one hop on that log, she was in deep trouble. Florynsalis then warns Stellara that she has ten seconds to come down from there and starts counting down. Before she could count to three, Stellara then does a high bounce on the edge of the log. Ortho, who was watching the scene play out with the others in disbelief, whispers, “She jumped on it.”

Florynsalis, now having reached her own boiling point, orders Stellara to get down and that she was in big trouble now. Before Stellara could take one step, the log’s edge then suddenly cracks before breaking. Causing Stellara to fall off the steep hill before anyone can react.

Devastated, Florynsalis begins to have another panic attack and she believes that she had let her youngest sibling, who she had vowed to take care of, die. Florynsalis then suddenly starts to cry and laugh, which scares Tanamira and Val along with the others as they are all like, “Uhh, is she okay?”. Florynsalis gets up and says that she will not lose anyone else before she begins her overblot transformation.

In her overblot form, Florynsalis decides to use her newfound magic to wrap Val, Fawlynn and Tanamira in rose cocoons so they can be “safe and protected”. She manages to seal Fawlynn and Val before the boss fight ensues. The fight would be pretty tricky since I imagine Florynsalis’ overblot form would have a high amount of defense and maybe even have the ability to stun random cards for a few turns. Her main attacks would be whipping her opponents or ensnaring them in rose thorns. (I don’t know the battle mechanics yet.)

After the fight concludes, Florynsalis lashes out at everyone and accuses them of getting in her way of protecting the remaining people she loves. Then Stellara, who is revealed to not actually be dead and was able to grab onto the cliff's edge, would climb back up the hill and see the fight taking place. Stellara calls out to Florynsalis which distracts her. Tanamira, seeing an opportunity, yells at Leona to throw her up to Florynsalis which he does. Tanamira grabs onto her overblotted friend who begins to struggle in an attempt to throw her off. To calm her down, Tanamira starts humming a special song the two girls love singing together. This reaches through to Florynsalis and she is snapped out of her overblot state and turns back to her regular form. All while quietly weeping in her closet friend’s arms.

Both girls are gently levitated to the ground by Briar and Val and Fawlynn are freed from their cocoons. Stellara runs over and tightly hugs her older sister. Apologizing profusely for causing her to overblot. Florynsalis then apologizes back for being too overprotective of Stellara before she explains that she just didn’t want to lose her sister like how she lost their parents.

Stellara promises that she will try to not put herself in danger like that ever again and Floyd, Cerule and Allison also apologize, but Florynsalis forgives them and also promises that she will try to be less overprotective of Stellara, but still look after her. Because that’s what siblings do for each other.

The chapter would conclude with Florynsalis and her friends, both new and old, celebrating her 16th birthday. What they fail to notice however, is two pairs of yellow and green eyes watching them from the bushes before slinking away unseen, but that’s a story for another day.
