Description
Stripped, pencil on Illustration board30” x 40”’
This part about 8” x 14”
This is the third element in the drawing, although by itself it’s a tad to descriptive but as a part of the whole it becomes more mysterious and adds to the fatalistic feeling of the roots. This drawing now needs to be completed by the end of the month, it’s part of a solo exhibition at Southwest Michigan College starting October 8th.
Thanks for looking

This is going to be really interesting when finished. I know I've not been commenting much lately due to computer down time and life in general, but I have been following along when I could. Congratulations on the show, my friend.

I think your beautiful artwork has just healed my "drawing block". Another perfect work from you Armin. So touching, realistic and inspiring. I love every single detail- the crow, which eyes look even more alive than they could ever look in any photos, the sculls, looking as if they were screaming, alive people.. It's the first time I'm faving a WIP, but this part could be called finished on its own. I already can't wait for the day when we see the finished picture!

Oh deadlines are always hard. At least I think so. It always adds a little more pressure.
I'm looking forward to seeing the drawing as a whole. I have a feeling it's going to be a lot darker than your usual work?

I know what you mean I hate deadlines as well but if this doesn’t get done for that show so be it, I won’t cut corners. There will be about 25 works in the show anyway so that plenty, thank you.

Absolutely beautiful!!
Do you draw everything from your mind, or do you sometimes look up pictures?

Is this what you decided to put in the middle box, or was this the box on the right? I can't seem to recall. I do know that you said something about being unsure about when you were going to put in the middle. Still, it looks amazing. Very eerie. What did you use for reference for the skulls? I remember you said something about the Holocaust. Great job, Armin.

Kristina, it’s the center box, the right one will have a second eye. The skulls came from three sources two reference photos and a plaster skull that we have in the studios of the center. Thanks
Armin

Incredible imagery, Armin! This is fantastic! TIn my mind's eye I can see this piece in it's wholeness and it really is quite mysterious along with this raven. Man, is there anything you can't do??? The raven is incredible!
I imagine you can draw anything, my friend. Anything at all! Even things you can't see with your mortal eyes.

Beautiful detail. I really like the highlight on the crow's feathers and I'm a sucker for images that break the picture's borders.

Usually I don’t do it, I guess I’ve seen it done too much... here I had to push the crow way forward or else he would be gigantic or the skulls tiny like a bunch of dead Tom Cruses. thanks
