These guys are cute! I'm always partial to scarred characters - it's just an immediate indicator that something important/tragic happened to them, so you want to know more.
Really dig the lighting you've got going in this, too!

I love the digital painterly style - it's something I really want to try myself, I just don't have a very good tablet.

Some day soon... the power of Wacom shall be mine... Intuos 5, here I come!
