While I love this redesign and the art, it would not work, because the whole point is that we DONT see his face. That keeps the air of mystery about him and his identity just a bit more secret. But again, this is awesome.

I disagree - being able to see his face humanizes him and makes him recognizable. When he first appeared during the Purge no one knew what species he was, let alone recognized him as Anakin Skywalker. Often, when Vader revealed information about the Jedi he was fighting the Jedi would wonder if he/she knew Vader, which was in turn a costly mistake on the Jedi's part. Taking away that mystery takes away the threat, which reduces fear - as a Sith gains power from the fear of others being able to see his face actually makes him less menacing.

I agree with this. The fear of the unknown is arguably the most powerful fear. There's a sort of god-like feeling from the expressionless original mask.

That's a pretty balsy redesign. ou managed to somehow keep him recognisable as one of the most Icon Villains of the silver screen, while at the same time giving it a fresh new look that is completely badass in its own right.
