I decided to draw my Skyrim character for a change. This is not a real location but it may feel familiar with Solitude on the horizon

Alright, i'll see what I can do (right now nothing though, since the creation kit STILL isn't released <_< soon though). It's going to be a big mod with geographically different setting to skyrim and well I have been thinking, would you like to do a few concept arts for the mod here and there ? Mostly just landscapes, because you are really great at those. I am aware that you are quite busy and well we are currently not in a hurry so you could do one piece a month or what ever suits you.

You know,my ps3 had a YLOD two weeks ago...so now I can't play Skyrim...I'm really sad D:
My characters are:
Drave,Nord,heavy armor,block,one hand swords,smithing and restoration...
and Alarvyne,Dunmer,light armor,archery,daggers,destruction,alchemy and sneak.

I've seen lots of pictures of a heavy armored knight...is that your character?

The only thing that make sense is "warrior"...but...anyway,it is part of the fun create an unusual character...like an Altmer warrior,heavy armor,no spells xD

Another Great piece. I would recommend you try Ebony armor and or an Elven greatsword if you wanted to.

Oh, wow! But it wasn't his weapon chice, really. I have an orc too, but he wields an ax and a shield. I was looking at his head when getting an idea "hm, I think it's an orc!"

how do you give all the different elements texture (e.g. rock, metal, fur) i cant seem to give texture to anything, its very frustrating answering would be a big help

I know what your saying, the best help I can give is that the more wet or metallic the object is the more it reflects the environment. So something like the mountains, which are stone when hit with light will reflect a smaller amount of that lights colour than say the metal on the armor which reflects (depending on the shinyness of the armor) not only the direct light of the sun but also the colours of the environment around it.
Other than that all I can say is find reference of what your drawing. A picture of hills will show you what sort of light they reflect and also give you good ideas on what they look like in real life.
