This is what I see in this amazing work:

Torn away wings, my body left bleeding and ripped.  Her back turned on me in utter contempt, to survive I am ill-equipped.

Memories flutter by, floating on the hot wind of regret.  I clutch at trinkets I once gave as gifts, there is no way to forget.

I drown in complete sorrow, this desert beneath my feet.  Struggling to shed a single tear from dried out eyes, my undoing is complete.

The clouds above offer no shade, and alone I suffer in thought.  I am distraught, dismayed, destroyed and defiled, a living tribute to decay and rot.

My world is this barren plane now, baked and dehydrated by a hidden sun.  My soul is expired, my existence in exile, extrication from euphoria; paradise is done.

In her hands she holds a sphere; crystalline and refined.  Its purity matches her disdain for me, I am indignity defined.
