Excellent work. The spirit of Beksinski lives on.
There are many details to comment on but I'll stick to two:
1.) the marvellous detail of the fingers pushing the loose neck-skin of the birdman
2.) the shadow of the third finger in the other hand, under the beak βΒ the lighting makes it so real that the two lighter fingers seem to emerge out of the screen
3.) the structure of the skin on the dying figure compared to the structure on the beak
See, I couldn't even stick to two details, had to mention three.
I don't normally enjoy the extravagant colours in fantasy art, but to each his own, or to each genre its own!
Your ability is a definite inspiration. One of the better things I've seen on deviant, and proves my point that traditional art lives and will always live on, even in the world of mp3 players and wacom tablets!
For all the artists with messy fingers, sticky brushes, boxes full of wrinkly almost finished colour tubes: I salute thee!

When I saw this piece I just had to sign in to comment! I ADORE the feeling the headpiece & the collar give...they give a feeling of such a sharpness...such a sharpness that I, (& its always been an odd reaction upon seeing rusty metals on ships in the harbour) had to rub my fingers together because I could almost feel it cutting through them.
AMAZING WORK.
Love at first sight β₯

I am utterly amazed that this is acrylic (unless more of it is oil?)! I have so much trouble getting fine detail in with that medium, but you have done so with amazing perfection. I especially love the detail on the beak and the helm.

The 'undeground' painting (I mean the first layer; am not sure about the right word) is acrylic, and the details I get in oil. Thanks for your interest and greetings. DZ

This painting is so amazing! It feels as though the main figure is being very gentle - almost loving - with the prone figure.

that blue skin... that bronze colours.. this reminds me of one nealry to alive dream I had once.
The void the black geometry on his third eye is like a red stroke through a blind eye. very nice work man
