She was thrilled to hear the news that she was being transferred to the mounted division of the police department. After that little mishap last week, she had been worried her dreams would be dashed forever. But when her captain told her she would begin training immediately, she was a bit shocked.What shocked her even more was when her captain corrected her once she said she was so excited to be a mounted officer after so many requests.
“Oh no,” he said as she took another big sip of her morning coffee, “You won’t be a mounted officer. You’re going to be a mount, officer.”
Her confused face shifted as she noticed something off with the taste of her coffee, and then began to feel discomfort and pain all over. Her finger and toes, her head and face, even her chest and butt had no escape from the strange feeling as she dropped her coffee on the floor, shocked to see her hands stiffening as a thick dark substance took over her fingers…
