For all the ferocity and chaos of the battle, TK was holding her own, though the effort was pushing her to her very limits. She seemed to be standing at the center of a surging, dark wave that threatened to crash over her at every moment...ready to snatch her up and bear her down if she faltered for even a second. Which, of course, was exactly the situation. But she was holding her own, and with every blow she landed, TK felt her spirit surge a little higher...the momentum of successful battle building within her. Another hard kick jarring her leg in an oddly satisfying way, she watched one of the Drones topple to the floor...and for a brief, shining moment TK thought she might just win this thing...

Only to have that glimmer of hope vanish like a shooting star, as one of the seemingly-downed drones lurched back up to a sitting position and grabbed her anchoring leg just as she was preparing to launch into another powerful side-kick. TK stumbled with a startled, dismayed growl - and then let out a ragged curse, as another of the insidious things took the opening to tackle onto her back, nearly dragging her down to the floor in the process. She stumbled upright once more and tried to break free as that Drone swept her arms behind her in a masterful lock-hold, but the first continued to cling to her leg, stifling her movements just enough to keep her from succeeding. Even when she tried to lash a desperate kick with her free leg toward another of the still-oncoming mechanoids, another reached up from the floor and seized her ankle in mid-kick, jerking the attack to a jarring halt. Her raw-edged cry of aggravation and anger cut off into a hacking gurgle as a rubbery-stiff arm locked around her throat once again...and just like that, TK found herself helplessly-pinned in the grasp of the Drones, while the rest of the mob enfolded her like a shroud...
