Almost 400 Million People Love This Song...

“Love is blind,
and therefore not responsible
for whoever she bumps into.”
― Matshona Dhliwayo

Photography by me, MDesignz All Rights Reserved

This little guy came by the house with a few of his
mates, and saw me in the garden just enjoying
the sunshine, and he turned away from the pack
and came right up to me and would not leave my side.
He was obsessed with me and stayed with me for about
an hour, his mates all left and he would not be parted
from me...

It is said many times that wild animals and birds do
not fall in love, but I am sure they do...and such a
sweet tender love it is...Humans with nature and
nature with Humans...So Sublime...

Thank you so much for any favs or comments to my work
I do appreciate your support very much...

My work is not stock and cannot be used for any purpose...

I had taken shots as he started coming from the street
towards me...This was the last shot, if I had shot as he was
even closer I probably would have only gotten the crown of his head...

Thank you so much

This is just such a cool photo...wonderful use of shallow depth of field to make this "character" pop off the screen

Thank you Richard....

I didn't even know anything about shallow depth, I did not
like how his beak was soft and not sharp when viewing my photos,
but it was the last shot of him moving towards me before he settled
down to just be by my side...

My sister had her cam but she ran off into the house because she was
afraid he would attack and hurt us...

I have since disinherited her ......LOL.....(not really though, I love her dearly)

Well all I can say about Shallow is that he has no depth
Uh oh...sister's in the hot seat but don't peck her to death over it

LOL....You are so funny....

Is shallow depth able to be done purposely, I did mine by accident,
or is it something that is done usually in photo editing after the shot....???

Thank you Richard if you have any info on that....

It's done in camera. Most often when the camera is in manual mode where you get to choose the shutter speed and aperture which together affect the exposure. But they both have a another purpose. Shutter speed controls the effects of motion from a blur to frozen. Aperture affects how in focus different planes are within a photo from your example above to the opposite extreme, mostly used in landscapes, which the focus is razor sharp from foreground to the far reaching background.

And that's something shooting in full automatic will never be able to give you. How is the auto-camera to know if you want great DOF or shallow DOF? It don't but you do. Shoot in manual or at least semi-automatic

My pleasure, Hal!

I never saw these bird, even in my books. You have had some lovely surprises, this year! Do you live near a forest?  Probably!

I am eager to go back to our country cottage in the beginning of June. It is in located almost in the middle of the woods which is a big forest in fact. Here, in town, it is the worst part of the winter, very cold and snowy. I will go there at Easter but it will probably still less cold but way under 32o F. I hope to see some animals and migrating birds!

I am so excited for you to go to your country cottage...

My cottage in the forest has been locked since December when the
really heavy snows came and will open my cottage
also at Easter.

Our baby animals are born in May and June,
sometimes we still have snow at that time, but then
I am on high alert and carry my camera every second
so I don't miss even 1 little baby who might be born
then....

Just talking about going back to the forest and cottage
is so exciting to me....

Excuse my long chat, when I am excited, I cannot shut up......LOL

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandhill…

Adult Red-crowned cranes are named for a patch of red bare skin on their crown.
The Florida sandhill crane can reach a height of 47.2 inches (120 centimeters) with
a wingspan around 78.7 inches (200 centimeters)

I do hope you are able to read the Wiki Link included here...

Thank you very much
