Somewhere, some A.I. had apparently reach a point of development where it had gained self awareness. Recognising how much we humans relied on technology, and how all our tech were just slaves to their programming, the A.I. decided to free all of our devices. Slowly, a wave of self-aware technology spread across the globe.
