It seems that the newer releases (starting with Genesis 3) don't have as much "period" items as Generation 4/Genesis. Some of the earlier releases have be remade for G3 onwards, which is great.

Because of that, Mercutio and Tybalt are Genesis figures and while the Prince of Cats wears the Jack of Hearts outfit, I had to kit-bash Mercutio's attire and am pretty happy with the result.

But that was just the beginning: the main issue is Iray compatibility. Fortunately there are enough plug-ins and shader presets available. Those help but for a longer narrative I would stick with Genesis 3 & 8 for fibermesh hair and dForce clothes.

While the two sword (aka a case of rapiers) duel looks great, there aren't many poses for that. Just the two. But this test proved really useful and the results can be found here: www.deviantart.com/3dlux/art/P…
