Ok, so I have designed a new weapon. Based on a two-handed Chinese Jian, or straight sword. Made of solid silver, gold, and steel. The two rods on the side of the blade are actually flintlock barrels, connected to the triggers underneath the guard.
Modeled and rendered in 3ds max, aftertouching in Photoshop.
