Continually interrupting
Unexpected and unwanted,
The night drones on
Yet another person
To vent and complain
Ignoring my dialogue
As if I'm stupid
There is no escape
This cable is my leash
These walls make my cell
Imprisioned by ignorance
For this is my job
Barely waking from my daze
The problem is solved
The caller is happy
On to the next
Sometimes I wonder
If it's really worth it
These people are rude
Unappreciative and angry
Each time there's a new one
I hope that they're nice
The rudeness of some
Outweighs the polite
I want to get out
But there's nowhere to go
For this is my job
