Truth be told, Serena could've been a good character if handled right(which, if your complaints are correct, isn't happening).
For example: maybe she outgrows her crush on Ash, or her attempts to start a romantic relationship with him crashes and burns, but still wants to learn from him and his now-five-regions-worth of experience(true, it's still Ash , but at least it'd be slightly better than what we're getting).
Or, at the very least, stop overexposing her with so many miscellaneous Serena-focused episodes and start giving her some actual character development...
