While it's no secret that Shadow The Hedgehog, the genetically created organism debuting in "Sonic Adventure 2" is a somewhat divisive character (seriously Sega; making an Edgy "T" rated game doesn't automatically MAKE the starring character in that game or the game itself great unless the game-play is actually good! Otherwise, that sort of move just SCREAMS of desperation!) But putting aside the controversial decision to make what is otherwise a relatively cool character in such a bad game, I'm honestly surprised that Sega hasn't at least TRIED to include Shadow the Hedgehog (or many other characters that debuted in 1999 and after that) into some more 2D based "Sonic The Hedgehog" games! For instance, Sega missed a perfectly good opportunity to get Shadow included in game-play for the "Sonic Origins Plus" versions of "Sonic The Hedgehog 3", and "Sonic And Knuckles". Here, we see Shadow The Hedgehog doing his own version of a Spin Jump while equipped with the Electric Shield Power-up! Hopefully, the next time there is a 2D "Sonic The Hedgehog" game, Sega can correct that little oversight.
