Azalea is a character that appeared in Mario Golf for the N64, GameBoy Color, and GameBoy Advanced. She had appeared in Mario Golf games before Daisy, Daisy now has her look, do you get the picture? My guess is that Nintendo decided to make Modern Daisy's look based on Azalea, very lazy right? If you're a retro gamer, like me, I'm pretty sure you want the classic characters to return. The two need to appear in a game together.

Azaela is cuter in the face because of her softer, doll-like features. Azaela is like the inner, Girlier side of Daisy to me. I really wish they made a game with them meeting and end up actually twins..

Well they look alike but Daisy is much more popular than Azalea. They look similar but they aren't the same and Daisy hair style is better out of the two. I prefer modern Daisy over past Daisy. Also Wario's Mona looks very similar to both of them too. File:Mona WarioWare Mega Microgames.png

I believed you tried sending a pic of Mona? it didn't work, but I do know how she looks like. Yeah, she does looks similar to them, but not identical/extremely similar like Daisy and Azalea

Characters get updated sometimes. Luigi went from palette swap to actual bro of Mario for example. It's ok if you like Daisy's previous look I just like her modern is all. She's one of my favorite characters and I even have her plush too. Another fav of mine is Luigi.

I think they are alike maybe because they have similar style i think they might be related except she has golfing skills rather than all around sports skills.

What I like to think on this matter is that Daisy's current appearance is not from laziness but a nice allusion to Azalea. Perhaps Nintendo was planning on making a connection between the two and never got down to it? Who knows, but it certainly gives fans to imagine the possibilities.

Well I guess you are right. The reason why I say laziness because the two haven't appeared together, Azalea's latest appearance was in Mario Golf Advance which was released after Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, Daisy's first Mario Golf appearance. True, Nintendo might have wanted a connection between the two, maybe in the next Mario Golf (who knows when that is) the both of them will appear. Maybe they wanted them to be related?

This is just a wild guess, but Mario Golf Advance Tour was a way to reintroduce some of the human characters from the old games to see if any of them would become popular. Around that time Daisy wasn't as popular as she is now (one of the main reasons Daisy was apart of the main cast to begin with was in memory of her creator Gunpei Yokoi).
I took a look at some of Azalea's artwork and she looks a bit different than her latest appearance. Azalea looked more younger in the art and her hair was more curled up and shorter.
It would be cool to see some old characters and for these two to be together, but then people would call out on Azalea to be the copy cat of Daisy. It would be cool if they made these two sisters or cousins.

You are possibly very true. Mario Golf Advance Tour was probably to reintroduce human characters. I too have seen Azalea's artwork and she does look younger, it's her latest artwork that makes Daisy look like her. I'd be awesome if the old characters made a re-appearance, but because of Daisy's look, modern fans will think Azalea is the Daisy copycat when it's really Daisy is the Azalea copycat. If the two were sisters or cousins or really just related, it'd be awesome!
