i think i drew this piece in 2019, so his shoe design isn't up to date but y'know
i wanted to combine my favorite parts of sonic canon (the SatAM series, the adventure and Sonic Heroes games) into a cohesive timeline. an origin story of him growing from a self-focused child to the symbol of the freedom fighters. the imposter syndrome fairy hit hard after the sonic movie came out tho HAHAHAHA
but really, it's hard to have an original take in this fandom anyway, so i might as well keep working on my AU. I was thinking of writing fics for it, too!
