The encounter with Sam changed my life.

The way he implied normality about his appearance was mind-blowing to me. And it worked, people simply did not consider standing up to his strong demeanor. Because they instinctively knew that he was being completely reasonable.

I will follow his example. And perhaps one day I will also inspire a closeted cyborg, and help to set him free. Because any cyborg should feel free and relax.

So that is where I am now, preparing myself to openly show the cyborg integration of metal and leather with my body, to openly admit that I am a new deviation within normality, and quietly insisting on a humane treatment, because my feelings are completely human and the rest is mere mechanics.

But I still need to get into this new lifestyle. The pride is there, but it is fragile. Some of my friends may feel insecure and break with me, but others will probably make the effort to rethink and show that they are true friends.
