Looks like I'll go first again.
I'm not sure what prompted us to decide upon this scene, exactly.
The setting is right before Xigbar goes to challenge Sora in the World That Never Was, and whether that apparition of Xaldin behind him is an echo of his own memory, or an actual ghost looking out for our wayward eyepatched hero...
I'll leave for U-E to talk about, as I'm normally the one to say the deep stuff. U-E can have it this time.

Technical aspects....
-I hate Xigbar's gun.
-Xaldin's face does not satisfy me. I must have drawn it 30 different times.

So here's Xigbar reloading his snipes whilst Xaldin does his dead-Jedi impersonation.

Our pair here isn't as cannon as Axel & Roxas, or even almost-as-cannon as Xemnas & Saix, or even do the two of them really have much to do with each other seemingly at first. I actually keep forgetting that they have absolutely no interaction in the game at all. But despite that, somehow No. 2 & 3 are totally the duo in my mind anyway. In particular, we tend to think about Xaldin a lot. By now, we probably have thousands of unwritten pages extrapolating on his tragic past, of his existance and non-existance. Here's just a slice of a tangent of an offshoot of our devotion to him. And Xigbar (even being all serious for once) is always a win, even if his gummi-esque laser-ish projectile device is hell in a bad way.

I had a hard time staying focusing while working on it.
It's kinda bittersweet, isn't it?
Well, some people might not think so. Like Sora wouldn't think so.
But he's just a naive serial-killer, so we're not going to pay much attention to his opinion.
We like to stuff such prejudiced people back into their glass avacodos where they can't mindlessly destroy cosmic hopes and dreams far beyond their comprehension, whilst being spoon-fed propaganda that they are doing the "right thing" and saving the worlds.
Yeah. What does he know anyway?
This pic is for the rest of you.

Oh, i'm just all too glad to put my feelings into words like that, and to share my opinions with others, wether their veiws are similar, or not.

Yes, desires, and emmotions, it can be said, are two different things... That, and with the fact that the Nobodys say that they 'remember' what it is like to have emmotions, therefor, they ought to be ghosts of emmotions. Primal desires, but desires nonetheless. As you said, they -want- to have the right to exist, and they -should- have the right to exist, as a sort of 'god given virtue', in a sense. The game keeps reitterating itself witht eh notion of 'Oh! They shouldn't exist!', but it seems to ignore the fact that, yes, they do. They are there, in front of you, stnading, living, functioning, breathing. Just not feeling. Or, at least in the strictest sense...

Hmmm, yes, I suppose as I look back now, there were a few things that they did that were .... immoral, but not downright evil. Evil is something like pedophilia, or.... killing puppys. No, what the Organization did were just nesscisary steps they needed to take in order to acheive their ultimate goal.

Oh! I just remembered a theory I had..... The Organization is sort of like a group of devoted religious followers. I mean, not that they're all like 'HAIL THE MOONHEART! IT IS OUR SAVIOR!!!!!', like it's Jesus, or Moses, or something... (Except maybe Xemnas and Saix, but i'll get to them in a minute) In a way, they are all kind of 'brainwashed' with the notion of 'We don't have emmotions! We cannot feel!' But... Who began those notions in the first place? Xemnas. To be honest, he's like a preacher, who thinks he's right with God. What he says, is law. The story kind of reminds me of 'The Crucible', just a little bit.... Or, maybe the Salem Witch Trials in general. The rigid Puritan church said 'BELEIVE THIS, OR DIE IN A FIREY HELL OF SIN!!!' See what i'm getting at? You are told something so much, all the time, everyday, on the dot, etc., it engulfs you, and you beleive it....

I hate Sora, to be perfectly blunt. He's too fucking happy. >.< And, he can't see the truth behind the lies. I agree with you completely. He didn't deserve his happy ending. I nearly dies when Roxas did that whole 'fadey through Sora' thing at the end in the High-Res clip. DAMMIT! THE ORGANIZATION SHOULD HAVE LIVED! THEY SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN THEIR HEARTS BACK, AND LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER! LIKE A TRUE EFFIN DISNEY ENDING! D8

.....Except for Xemnas.... Becuase, to be quite honest, he was the only one I thought had corrupt ideas about using the power of the Moonheart. He wanted it all for himself, to become some supreme, god-like being. He was like 'Fuck eveybody else! I'll fool them, and take all the heart power for myself, and leave them with their half-selves! >D'

...Yea.

Heavens, I'm sorry I didn't reply to this. I think I must have accidentally hit the 'x' in the comments box when I was trying to mark something else off.
I'll rectify it now.

With how often Sora goes around helping complete strangers, its so STRANGE how ruthless he was when it came to Nobodies.

I've often thought on that myself...exactly what they can and cannot feel. If Vexen were still around, and if they weren't so busy trying to fend off Sora and create a new Kingdom, I'd bet he'd be experimenting to find out just that. I don't think that just by loosing one's heart warrants one's destruction. Its kind of silly. Thats like saying: "Dude, you lost your arm, time to die."
Completely rediculous.

I'm not so sure I agree with your oppinions on Xemnas, but they are validly thought out, so I do understand your point.

And thankyou, truly, for taking the time to post that comment! Its like a thesis on its own...

Good luck! Its really HARD finding fics of the less-well-loved Organization members. I suppose the closest thing I can think of off the top of my head would probably be Luc Court's 'Sorrow of Magpies' universe. Good stuff, that. ^.^

When I think back on it now, I can't exactly figure out how it got started between us that they had to hang out. Logically, they don't make a lot of sense, but...
well, they were part of the original six.

Nice. I totally agree with you on your rant at the bottom. For some reason 2 and 3 seem to go together, but Sora is most definitely a friggin' killer. All they wanted were hearts, right?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

8-13 In reply to Tia-chan [2006-10-21 02:08:27 +0000 UTC]

All they wanted was a world in which they could exist, since everyone seemed to be of the definite oppinion that they shouldn't exist. Its so perplexing, indeed. What is wrong with wanting to have the right to a life?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Tia-chan In reply to 8-13 [2006-10-22 01:45:50 +0000 UTC]

Nothing's wrong with wanting the right to live. How annoying must it get to be reffered to as 'nothing' and 'nobodies'. I mean they may not have hearts and everything, but they still try to recreate those feelings. Only to be shot down by a kid with a giant key, gravity-defing hair, and animals as companions. (I have nothing against Sora btw he is...adorable.)

Not many people I know try to look at what the organization was doing through the org.'s POV. Good example? A fic called 'A Sorrow of Magpies'. Beautifully written with a unique sort of view on the formation of the Organization and why they decide to begin their little 'Kingdom Hearts' project. (Keep in mind it's not finished yet.) [link]

I actually sort of like this pairing. They never interact or anything, but somehow I can just picture them being best buds. Very cute pic. Poor Xiggy

And OMG I AGREE D: Playing through the game, I'm all like "POOR NOBODIES THEY JUST WANT TO BE WHOLE LETS HELP THEMMM!"
And Sora's like "Whee let's kill them because they look like bad guys."
It's not like they're even doing anything bad. Besides turning people into heartless, but we can look around that. >>
Honestly.

It likely wasn't until after the game we started randomly forming our oppinions either. Maybe Nobodies can't ACTUALLY get lonely, but it is the nature of all creatures to seek company in one way or another. Sure would be booring otherwise! And these two seemed to fit, somehow.
And Sora does suck. Even in his innocence.
