I'm trying out painting again. Whenever I watch old shows that used a lot of paintings in them like 'Spongebob' or 'Ren and Stimpy', I get the urge to paint.
I tried going for something atmospheric and a little sad with this one.

One idea I had behind this concept is that the citizens of Bikini Bottom banned together and agreed that Spongebob was nothing more but an annoyance and a danger to others. So as trial, they send Spongebob off in a bottle where he floats up to the surface and later washes up on shore.

This was done with a mix of water color paint, acrylic paint, markers, glue and a bit of colored pencil for his eyes. I tried putting glue for the tears in his eyes and for water drops on the bottle, but it didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it once it dried.
