Description
A commission for *beastofoblivion of one her original species, the Relk.I seriously loooooooove Relk, so this was a joy to do... I put a lot of effort scrutinizing Relk pictures to get this as accurate as I could as well
learned lots about them during that process.I kept catching myself thinking while coloring this "dang, I wish there weren't any lines!" One of these day I'll have to do a digital Relk painting just for fun.... no lines, just color..... simply because I can.

I've been away and am catching up on deviations I missed and this is by far one of the best. It has excellent coloring, but I do see what you mean about the lines getting in the way a little bit.

Everything about the handling of the different textures in the body, from the skin flaps to the thick end of the tail, is tangible and tactile. The attention to details like the bit of pink light coming through the skin flaps and the water reflective highlights makes it [i]look[/i] like you had a photo to copy when, of course, you didn't. Your imagination, eye for detail, and skill at making those things come to life is phenomenal, even with the outline.
