Description
I realize the book itself has a title, but as you can see that right there, I thought I might title it something different. This is my submission to the Lily-x-James prequel competition, and I really hope I did it justice. I've never done a full digital piece with color, at least not since I was a lot younger, and I've never done one with a proper background and realistic, non-anime style. I chose Mary GrandPre's illustration style as my springing point, as it's what I really associate with Harry Potter, and what I have always known.

This took me three weeks. I kid you not. Over three weeks. I sketched it probably 15 times between the computer and actual paper, and then redid their faces at least three times each, once each for color. And the title that looks metallic? Yeah... never done anything like that in Photoshop before. In all, it was really a learning experience in both anatomy and my tools.

Dumbledore has chosen students from seventh year to join their effort in the war and this year it's none other than James, Sirius, Remus, Peter, and Lily. To make matters much worse, as soon as he finally get the girl of his dreams, James Potter must face his worst fear come reality; the death of his parents
