But the team was already a thing before Auto came and Ink has been seen talking with The Player. AND Fatal, Anti and Error as the Team's Execution Squad as seen in this comic

Which means the group was being administered by ThePlayer(Me) way before Auto. Then ThePlayer(I) went lazy and just randomly generated a Sans to take their(My) place. All this time, I thought it was Ink who used to run the team but IT WAS ACTUALLY ME *facepalm* Wow, Im so dumb that I did not realize that XDD
