Description
This is the latest version of Comfortaa: v3.001-Check out my three other fonts: Montepetrum: fav.me/d2if3uu Lastwaerk: aajohan.deviantart.com/art/Las… and Trunkmill: aajohan.deviantart.com/art/Tru… -
Comfortaa is a simple, good looking, true type font with large number of different characters and symbols. You can see most of them in the preview.
It is absolutely free, both for personal and commercial use.
It is licensed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1 - For most uses, you don't have to worry about this at all as it is a license with very few restrictions, but you can always read the license file (OFL.txt) included in the download folder if you want.
You don't have to give me credit if you use it in your work, but you are very welcome to do so if you want.
If you download it and like it please fav it (but obviously only if you like it). You are also more than welcome to comment about anything you want (I'm open to critique)
I hope you will enjoy using my font!
I obviously would love to see how my font is being used, so feel free to comment with a link to your work, or send me a message
Edit:
v3: Comfortaa has been improved as part of the Google Font Improvements Project. This includes minor or major changes to all characters and support for vietnamese.
Edit:
Cirylic character set added!
Edit:
Note that the font license has been changed to a less strict one.
Edit:
Version 2.000 Released! All characters (yes all) have been redone / re-thought at a higher quality. Especially people using Comfortaa at large sizes will appreciate this. Spacing and kerning has also been re-thought. Some characters have changed more than others - you may notice changes to especially "s" and "f". The Cyrillic character set has also been greatly improved. Overall the quality of the font has just gone up a notch

Love your font! It's a beautiful font.
Do you plan to do a cursive/italic version of Comfortaa?

Thank you so much!
No I had no plans to do so. I think it's too geometric to make a proper italic version

I had at last found a font which is nice and sansserif, except the capital I. Why did you change that?[link]

aajohan In reply to rjodonovan [2012-03-06 15:08:50 +0000 UTC]
A lot of people found the serifs on the capital I to be very annoying and not soothing for a sans serif font, and in many ways I agree, so i changed it If you want I can make a special version with serifs on the capital I for you

Addition to above comment:
If you can help me, maybe you will want my email. Just ask if you can't retrieve from the site.
Sans seriffed fonts are better for kids with dyslexia, but the capital I gets confused with lower case l, which is why your older version was good.

I never really got around to learn how to use LaTeX, let alone installing fonts for it. But I know that a guy named Mohamed El Morabity made a version of Comfortaa that supported LaTeX (apparently you cannot use the standard, unaltered version with LaTeX). You can find his contact details and other information here: [link]
Perhaps he can help you. You may even find the answer to transferring the files from your first computer to the second in that pdf document under "installation". Again I'm not much of a LaTeX user but I certainly agree that it looks good

The offer is very kind. My problem is that I am a Latex user. I love Latex because it is beautiful but I still haven't understood how to install a new font... comfortaa came with an updated installation of texlive. A few weeks later, the font in texlive was changed (no serif) so the texlive on my second computer has no serifs and I don't know how to use the files of the serifed version to transfer it on another computer. Maybe you can help me out with this...

A smooth yet modern font that lends itself very well to design and modification. It's geometric, but the rounding doesn't make it cold and sharp. Great stuff!
