its fine. i think i said "he" drew it but i'm not sure.
haven't taken german in a while.
but yeah, i didn't draw it, it was the artist (wow this is kinda awkward...)
but i was just saying he drew it cause he put it under that category.
sorry for the confusion.

Wow. this gave me a little shiver when I saw it. I love the unashamed honesty of an image like this, because too many people want to hide away atrocities like this, forget about them. And I have heard people saw that the holocaust (and other similar events) should just be forgotten. That's sort of idiotic, because if we forget, the same things will keep happening. At least if we remember we stand a chance of correcting our evil; and maybe then those people will not have died for nothing. I love this image, because it reminds us to remember.

Stunning work. =]

I see the swollen stomachs. Isn't it strange that as you starve, your abdomen distends...?

From Jewish Holocaust to Genocide in Darfur...we really haven't changed at all. And we still don't know what we can do except for sit and sweat it out and complain when it's over.

as humans all we can really say is "oh crap, why didn't somebody DO something" but we after expressing this regret all we do is change the channel and continue eating our egg-sandwiches.

This is a very powerful image that reflects a lot about humanity. I find it odd that someone would review this piece by simply saying "beautiful." For it is not beautiful, but in its ugliness, there is a powerful truth. Wonderful job.

ChaiN-RaVeN In reply to Rikulover322 [2008-10-10 17:21:19 +0000 UTC]

You came close to hitting the right point. Beautiful has so much versatility though. I would consider remembering that TRUTH is beautiful, and truth can be appealing OR tragic. True words are beautiful, but how many times are the phrases and writings we think of not tragic? A tragic tale with no hope is still beautiful in its own way, for what it is. The same applies to pictures, a dying flower, a wingless butterfly. I don't think there's any callusness in saying this is beautiful. We aren't appraising these depictions like models on a runway.

What's important is that it's there, in open honesty when so much of what we see is not.

yes indeed the picture does say it all I'd give it a 10 out of 10

As a Jewish person and an Israeli this drawing obviously has a lot of meaning for me. I'm not very good with words myself, so I just want to thank you for drawing it and reminding people, reminding me, that people can be so cruel, that people can suffer so much, and that it still continues now.

I feel now, writing these words, such a hypocrite, sitting by my computer, drinking water into my slightly over-weight stomech.

Thank you for this reminder to reality.

Reminds me specifically of Hitler. Where they would line up like so in the concentration camps, forced to labor at whatever the guards tell them to do..

Ugh, dear gosh.. The Holocaust fucking SUCKED...

desmo100 [2008-10-10 14:13:38 +0000 UTC]

This powerful image serves to remind us that the tragedies that befall humans are often of their own making and are deliberate. Horror such as this has happened throughout history, and continues to happen now. If mankind hates his own species so much that it will allow this grim outcome, there can be no bright future for us. We must NEVER FORGET.

Humanity is a horrible race, it's sad to say that but yes, we can get really cruel sometimes. This reminded me the consantration camps of Hitler.
This image shows it the best. I really loved the light and shadows. This is a great drawing, and it shows how our race can be.
