The teacher at the college that I'd gone to for auditions on my portfolio, did this lesson where he would say one word, and give us, the student, one minute to draw that word. Whatever came to mind, we had to draw. Some things were allowed to be more detailed than others, but it was strictly to get to the imagination part of us.
