People have a misconception about abstract expressionism. It's not about throwing a bunch of paint randomly on a canvas and expecting people to be impressed. It's about how you channel the way you feel into work that's uniquely your own. So how does one do something like that digitally? I collected a ton of custom acrylic Photoshop brushes, painted with those, creatively used a combination of filters to bring out the texture more, print on canvas, and that paint over it. That's my layering method. I really love how this piece came out.
