i did use the cutout tool but not just one swoop. i used two threshold layers. than the cutout tool to combined them it gives them a better look than just cutout you know what i mean . im gonna put some more images up i have bob dylan m monroe and two jim morrisons check by later during the week and let me know what you think. when i paint them on canvas thats when i take the most pride even though the image isnt 100% made in my head it still feels good to know i made it

i've been trying to figure out how to paint like that, and i cant think of the name for that style.
i want to say inverted, but i know that's wrong. hahahah.
when i was in school, we did that to photographs on photoshop, then painted the blotches of color to make the portrait.
do you know what that's called? lol
i want to do that with a picture of my friend and paint it for her for her birthday. :]

Id say its pop art, but yeah a lot of painting hard edges and it can take longer than it looks lol

I use I hard form of acrylic, hard brushes - and then paint shapes of colour simple as that. I take it that you like my work then

I have always been into art and have had some natural talent but most of all I love coming up with images that look real or good.

why do you paint celebritys?
why are they your inspiration?

To be honest because they sell, I would love to paint no names, but at the same time I love to painting people with natural beauty and it is easy to find celebs with that.
