Finally got this done, this is an idea I have had on my mind for quite a while and wanted to get these fan characters out of my mind and onto a drawing.
Now Story time and background info( though not too much into character's pasts)

LabX: Originally, LabX was established as an R&D organization for the Atlas Military with the prime goal of researching anything that assists humanity in its fight against the darkness. The organization is proficient in all fields of study, from weapons research, medical and aura study, even cybernetics. LabX even acted as an intelligence agency for rouge science groups, stopping, quarantining, containing and acquiring all that was created by any shadow groups using science for ill purposes. The problems however, started when the leader, Ebony Darkside, started a program called the Second Chance Program, where she would give rogue or imprisoned scientists a second chance to make the world a better place. The program was a double-edged sword: while there were those that took their second chance and made genuine efforts to help humanity, their were those that sought to use that kindness for their own gain, causing many incidents after the program's implementation. Even as time went on and Ebony getting better at containing bad incidents and screening scientist, Atlas High Command had enough, and the order was given to dissolve the organization, merge it with the main military R&D, turn over all research, and send all the second chance scientists back to prison no matter how reformed they were. Though the order was given, Ebony wasn't going to comply with it, stating that the only person shutting down LabX was going to be her. Secretly, Ebony plotted the relocation of all of LabX's assets and personel that wished to join them. The relocation involved copying all information and research created by LabX, destroying the rest, removing all prototypes, weapons, even stealing a prototype airship and preventing Atlas from being able to create it again. After that Her head scientist stole other military research and bombed their originally facility, destroying everything and leaving behind nothing. Now LabX is a secret independent organization, continuing with their mission of creating a better tomorrow.

Ebony Darkside(woman sitting at the desk):
Before LabX, Ebony was an Atlas Specialist, trained as a huntress and skilled in leadership and decision making. It was these skills that got the attention of high command, and placed her in charge of the R&D organization during it's creation. Though not fond of being removed from the front lines and placed in what she originally described as "A desk noble's job", she began to respect and take a liking to her new position overtime, even believing that maybe she was destined for the role she was given. Though her leadership and the help of a smart and trusted committee of scientists and soldiers, LabX prospered, Ebony was even able to get Ironwood to approve the creation of her own special forced unit. It would be after review research confiscated from rouge science organizations that led to Ebony to create the Second Chance Progam, seeing the potential that can be used for the safety of humanity. Such a program would lead to success, even one of the rouge scientist's apprehended would move up to be her most trusted advisor, best scientist, second in command, and a good friend. However, the program would eventually lead to its downfall with too many incidents causing high command to shut down the organization, but Ebony wasn't going to let them. Now Ebony is a wanted fugitive, continuing to be LabX's leader, under covering shadow groups, researching and curing man made diseases, and overall answering the call to create a better tomorrow.

Dr. Auburn Redwood(the right side of Ebony):
Before LabX, Dr. Redwood was a mad scientist for hire, creating weapons and science for the highest bidder. For a long time, Redwood created tools for destruction for criminals, terrorists, even companies like the Schnee Dust Company has hired this mad scientist to aid them in dust research and assistance and capturing faunus for their labor forces. For most of his criminal life, Redwood was a man that never cared about how his tools were used nor the consequences, but all that would soon change. The only things in the world he ever cared about was his family and home town, and in a matter of minutes, he destroyed it all. It started with a contract too create a powerful fire dust bomb that could spread the flames across a larger field for maximum destruction. Aft er the bomb was built, it was handed over to those that contacted him, but before it was mass produced, White Fang terrorist sought to acquire the device from his contractors and a stray shot set off the bomb, right in the middle of his home town. When Redwood heard from the news of a fire that had destroyed his home town, he instantly went to investigate and what he saw shattered him. They all died; women, children, friends, even his parents, all died in the raging inferno. While investigating, Auburn found in the epicenter of the blast the metallic casting of the bomb he had created; it was his bomb that destroyed it all. It was on that day that Redwood broke, the weight of his action hitting him like a train, shattering him like glass. After being found by Atlas authorities, Redwood admitted to the creation of the bomb and was sentenced to prison, rotting in his misery and grief. However hope to amend his sins came in the form of LabX, giving him the chance to make things right. It was a long journey and after a lot of pep talks and Ebony knocking some sense into him, Redwood began to recover, becoming a dreamer creating a better tomorrow. His scientific genius and management of multiple scientific projects and practices earned him the attention of Ebony Darkside and in time became her second-in-command and most trusted friend. When LabX broke away from the military, Redwood chose to follower Ebony to the end. Now Redwood stands as Ebony's right hand man and the head of all science divisons in LabX.

Fun fact: Redwood's right arm and right eye are cybernetic designed by him, but they weren't placed on him due to injuries, Redwood had them placed on himself as a field test to prevent others from getting hurt if an accident happened.
