Description
Rose still has her eyes closed. She can't bear to open them, until a hand grasps her shoulder. She looks up.No Jackie, just the Doctor, looking down at her. Sad, proud, aware of what's happened.
The Doctor: Go to him. Quick.

StarlightWhispers In reply to ??? [2011-05-27 23:05:01 +0000 UTC]
I know. I miss them so much. This 11th Doctor is pretty good, but...he doesn't seem to have enough...I dunno, energy? I can't put my finger on it.

Yeah i miss those two and Tennant. I know what you mean, it's not Matt Smith's fault though, it's more Moffat - he definitely has the same level of emotion in some episodes - usually the ones that Moffat didn't write.

Hn, you think if they had a different writer that he'd be better then?

Abboz In reply to StarlightWhispers [2011-05-28 15:40:08 +0000 UTC]
He is great as he is, I just mean that we don't always see the same level of emotion because Moffat seems intent on focussing on (a) torturing Amy and Rory (b) focussing on having dark lighting/atmosphere (c) showing all these hints at the future of the series

Ah, that does seem pretty true. You have to give Moffat credit though for getting the viewers adrenaline going. Some of those episodes are absolutely terrifying! And I don't really like seeing hints of the future. Sometimes they're nice, but I don't like a confusing overload of them.

I don't find it scary at all, i mean there's the odd thing where i'm like "well that's creepy" like when Cleaves turned her head all the way round, but i'm never scared.
I agree on the hints thing - I mean i liked RTD with "Bad Wolf" "Torchwood", the planets disappearing and "he will knock four times" because even though they were subtle you could still work it out - so like I noticed the one for series 4 but it didn't spoil it because it didn't really tell you exactly what happened. Series 5 & 6 with Moffat the "hints" are too in your face - and the plot is too Sherlock like.

Hn, maybe I'm just too timid.
**Spoilers if you haven't watched the latest episode**
Yeah, with the whole Bad Wolf thing, you would only maybe notice those little hints if you listened or watched carefully and then the devoted viewer would be rewarded. Now it's just kind of like you can already guess what's going to happen. :C Me and my friend guessed when we first saw the lady with the eye patch that she was probably going to be a mid-wife and we also already guessed that Amelia wasn't probably really "there". We kind of expected her to be dreaming, but its close enough.

I dunno i just thing i have a high scare level, loads of people say it terrifies them. I mean one time we were in France with the school and some random teenager threw a firework into the street near us - everyone else screamed and i wasn't even scared (we were like 11 at the time) - so year high scare level.
I have seen it - and yeah i was like "well the real Amy is in hospital about to give birth - that's the mid wife" couldn't have got the flesh thing till these episodes but it's freaking obvious no matter how clever he is trying to be. It gets old.

StarlightWhispers In reply to Abboz [2011-05-30 15:20:47 +0000 UTC]
Haha, lucky, I don't. I wish I did. I'm such a nervous, timid person. It's not like I completely freak out when I'm scared or anything, I just sort of freeze or jump.
Yeah, it also kind of gave it away when the midwife spoke to Amy the second time, I think it was. Said something along the lines that it was almost time or something...and then the Doctor is like "breathe, Amy" and that pretty much confirmed my suspicions. xD
I'm still trying to figure out the little girl who regenerated...I'm wanting to say it's Amy's girl. Is that too far fetched?

Abboz In reply to StarlightWhispers [2011-05-30 15:27:55 +0000 UTC]
Lol it's not like it's particularly useful, but i guess you know if the Doctor ever wanted me as his companion it would be useful (but he'd quickly kick me out because i'd keep telling him to go and get Rose)
Yeah it did! I think she said "You're doing great." or words to that effect.
Well i looked on imdb to discover kind of who she is. But I don't know her relevance or what she has to do with Amy or River or anyone... but I'm thinking the idea of her being Amy's daughter might have been too pointed at maybe - and doesn't really make sense

StarlightWhispers In reply to Abboz [2011-05-30 18:42:35 +0000 UTC]
Haha, but would he really mean it? I'm sure he'd love to go get her. xD It was the only thing I could think of. I don't really understand how there could be a little girl who can regenerate otherwise....I don't know. I'm kind of hoping its not Amy's daughter. One of my friends says she thinks it will somehow end up being the Doctor, but...I think that would be kind of weird too. I wouldn't be too amazed though. Anything can happen on that show.

Lol as much as he wants to (and probably could if he really wanted to and hadn't convinced himself she's happy with the human Doctor - he'd still get sick of me nagging him.
Doesn't really work though (as it stands) plus - from the evidence so far - i recon it's some weird alien pregnancy (like in Torchwood when Gwen got "pregnant" if you watch that). There's no way it's the Doctor - gah i wanna tell you so much who that girl is!

StarlightWhispers In reply to Abboz [2011-05-30 19:18:59 +0000 UTC]

Abboz In reply to StarlightWhispers [2011-05-30 19:25:21 +0000 UTC]
WATCH IT! unless you're really opposed to post-watershed stuff (i.e. sex and swearing)
Yeah because on imdb you can look at episode 13 (and maybe one or two others) and it has the same girl that regenerated as "Little Girl/Young _____" or something
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
StarlightWhispers In reply to Abboz [2011-05-30 19:27:04 +0000 UTC]
Thats kind of why I don't like it. xD It's like they put everything into Torchwood that they couldn't put into Doctor Who.
................is it Young Amelia? *brain dead for ideas, but refuses to look it up* Or maybe the Doctor's granddaughter? Does that even make sense? I'm just spouting out ideas randomly.

Abboz In reply to StarlightWhispers [2011-05-30 19:32:18 +0000 UTC]
Ha well really in most cases they are relevant to the plot - you do have to excuse that first episode though... that really is just sex for the sake of it. It's a good show with some great characters. Gwen is played by the same woman that played the servant Gwen in "The Unquiet Dead" and Toshiko was in one of the series 1 episodes - Aliens Of London i think. And of course Captain Jack!
No it's none of those - you probably won't guess - i really am not sure how she fits into this series anyway

Haha, yeah, that would be the biggest, most bizarre twist ever. Jackie Tyler: secret Time Lady.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Abboz In reply to StarlightWhispers [2011-05-30 19:52:47 +0000 UTC]
which means Rose is a Time Lady too (at least half) and omfg she coulda stayed with the Doctor and he wouldn't have had to watch her die (not so early anyway) and OH THAT WOULD BE SO EVIL! but then i doubt Jackie woulda been so opposed to the Doctor - plus the Doctor would have known Rose was a Time Lady via his scanner
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
StarlightWhispers In reply to Abboz [2011-05-30 19:57:16 +0000 UTC]
Maybe Jackie had her memory erased or maybe she was afraid of the Doctor because he killed his own people...and maybe since Rose was only half Time Lady and lived as a human all her life it didn't register in his scan...?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Abboz In reply to StarlightWhispers [2011-05-30 20:03:49 +0000 UTC]
OMG it could be like the chameleon arc and she had a watch somewhere and made herself human and then Rose would be human and aoghaihgah!!!
- the scanner would still pick it up if she was half
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
StarlightWhispers In reply to Abboz [2011-05-30 20:05:49 +0000 UTC]
Uhmm.....because Jackie was afraid of the Doctor, she gave Rose something that would protect her Time Lady-half from scans? Hahaha I don't know. xD
