PYTHON: Being an ancient dragon that lived in the age before the rise of Zeus and the Olympians, Python of monstrous size resided in its territory of Pythia, a murky desolate wasteland which suits the serpent's personality: cold,merciless, and mysterious. Years later, she was hunted down and slain by an Olympian named Apollo, the Bright One. After the serpent's death the god changes the land to be later known as Delphi, where the historical Oracle lives and is said to breathe in intoxicating fumes from the ground of where the great she-dragon was slain.#python #greekmythology #dragon #dracones #apollo #delphi #pythia
