Description
He used to be a knight who fought and was killed in the war. When the PC’s discovered his body, it had lain where he died for so long that brambles and briars had overgrown him. From his perspective, he was slain in a dishonourable ambush and the next thing he sensed was a PC over him. Of course, in his addled, literally rotted mind, he assumed that the PC was the one who ambushed and killed him. He tore away the brambles that pinned him in place, crying out with pain as they had merged with his body, and he stood up. The (low level) PC’s had plugged him with arrows while he stood, and the one who discovered him, the one that the Thorned Knight thinks killed him had a twisted ankle. They tried to run, realising that they cannot hurt this creature, the injured PC hobbling with support from another. They just made it to their cart in time and took off before the Thorned Knight reached it. However, he will hunt the one he thinks caused his death until the true ambusher dies, at which point the spell will be broken and the Thorned Knight will go from un-death back to simple death, or the PC manages to convince this mindless thing that he wasn’t the one.
