Maybe that wouldn't have happened if the baby's parents had done a better job raising the pitbull. Pitbull's are often treated as monsters because their owners either don't care for them or they force them to become violent and aggressive for their own personal gain which is a bad image for them. If you raise it right then they'll be as lovable and approachable as any other dog.

Maybe, but seems a lot more pitbulls do this than any other breed

There is no maybe, dogs aren't inherently destructive creatures. Humans need to take responsibility.

If there is no maybe, then why don't other breeds do this, there are tons of bad owners, but only Pitbulls become like this
Sorry but there has to reason why its Pitbulls that become killers and not other breeds

Are you serious? Doverman pinchers, bulldogs, even some breeds of collies.
A dog's personality has become diluted to a reflection of their owner, with millennia's of domestication.
Until I see some hard research done on pitbull breeds and 'not' on a facebook page, I refuse to believe a heavily domesticated breed is an inherent killer.

Sure on occasion, but never with the frequency of Pit Bulls, and you cannot tell me that Collies have better owners, statistically both should have some really bad owners

That's the point. Any dog can have a bad owner. Like I had just explained.
Pit bulls are the easiest to blame because they are found to be the most intimidating.

Sure an excellent trainer can do wonders for a dog, but there are lots of bad owners, but only Pitbulls turn out this bad this often

TotalFangir1 In reply to AvinashTyagi [2015-03-20 00:58:39 +0000 UTC]
Pitbulls turn out that way /because/of the bad owners. but even with bad owners not all Pitbulls are going to end up aggressive. I know because I've met some who've had a bad owner but are still really sweet. Also, it's not /only/ pit bulls that turn out bad, lots of dogs can be aggressive, but you only really hear about Pitbulls and rottweilers and etc. because everyone believes /all/ of them are aggressive and the media really puts them in a bad light.

I'm sure if loads of german shepards were attacking people, it would get out
Haven't heard a peep
And I'm sure many have bad owners

German Shepherds are the 3rd most dangerous dog breed (based on biting statistics and other stuff) on 7 different lists and probably a lot more. You can't just rule them out because you don't hear about them as much as you do pitbulls. German Shepherds are used as police dogs and have made their fair share of attacks and ex-police dogs could also be aggressive because of years of habit. German Shepherds, like rottweilers and etc, are often associated with military, protection and stuff like that, so obviously they're going to need to be aggressive too, and they are just as territorial as any other dog, if not more and are very protective of their family, which means they can attack if they feel their family is being threatened, even if someone is just hugging the person around their neck (dogs on instinct know the neck is very fragile, so they might think someone is trying to hurt their owner)
Any dog can be considered dangerous when not properly bred or socialized, neglected, abused (both verbally and physically), or left without any human interaction. Pitbulls are most often stuck with bad owners because of their bad reputation (I've already said this jeez).

Why would you recommendΒ Cesar Millan to anyone? He knows nothing about dogs. All he does is cause fear when it's proven that positive reinforcement is the most effective way to train.Β

TotalFangir1 In reply to SparkStarz [2015-03-19 12:20:28 +0000 UTC]
Just cuz.
Although, a better show would be Pit Boss. (Or they can just stop judging big dogs saying they're all violent, but I highly doubt that's going to happen)

MegaMovieMonday In reply to AvinashTyagi [2015-03-18 19:32:10 +0000 UTC]
Well again, that comes from the owners not really caring enough to give them proper training. Even if they are seen as more 'aggressive' than the other breed.

It is very beautifully done. I don't know why but I found a sense of comedy in it despite the realistic symbolism in it.
