A scene adapted from a novel I'm working on. The artist is TheSunset on furaffinity. My novel is called A Chronicle of Lies.

Here's the premise:

Falius is a tortured world, stricken by many calamities throughout its history. Stories are passed from generation to generation, surviving extinction events so great, few can account for their origin. Some of them speak of a figure who will be a creature of contradictions, a walking paradox who will defy the dictations of the world. Some speak of it as a hero who will save the people from tragedy...and in the same breath condemn them to suffering. Others say it is both an idiot and a savant, a savior and a tyrant. These days, the inhabitants of Admoran consider those stories to be little more than fables meant to entertain the youths. However, a strange being has appeared near Lorix's Eye, an ancient evil has begun to stir at his appearance. Bizarre weather phenomena are appearing all across the interstices. Now the authorities at Meldohv Syredel must find out what role this stranger plays. They believe him to show all signs of being the fabled Paradox. However, he believes himself to be a "human" from some place called "Earth". He believes Falius to be a hallucination caused by some madness called "schizophrenia". He believes their world to be nothing more than a bad dream, so he refuses to participate.
