I drew this for my mom for mother's day, which, funnily enough, is the day my mom found out she was pregnant with her. Abbey is currently 4 and 1/2 months old and is the most adorable baby in the world. Sorry the scan is so...scratchy... I used a photo referenceRelated content

Though art is not my strong suit, I feel confident in saying that this is a good piece. You capture the form well, and the subject is realistic, but what I really like are the lines. The fact that they are left easily done, as if they were just sketched rather than finished, tied with the fact that they're so smooth to give the picture a very fresh, rounded, new look, all of which ties wonderfully with the subject of a newborn child. I think you've captured this very well.
