BreakdownsThe cold world folds around us,
as everything turns black.
In the words you speak I trust
Love, there is no lack
Though people stand around us, stare
Their intentions far from good,
eyes bore into our hearts with an evil glare
If only comprehend they could.
Breakdowns come in waves of pain,
hearts crack down the center.
Numbness takes over in showers of ice rain,
only you are allowed to enter.
My seemingly flawless world
though, with out you, it means nothing
No one told us it would be this hard,
us, everyone would try to break.
They think their hands hold all the cards,
love plays not that game, God's sake.
Something as faithful as true love itself
can not be wronged by the intentions of others.
And put in a glass bottle high upon an untouched shelf
confiscated by one's opinionated mother.
Though these tragedies pile up at our door,
threatening to sever the ties we have strung.
Our hearts may be bleeding and sore,
but the song of love is still loudly sung.
Never will it be silenced but yet,
played loudly in my heart for you.
Forever together from the day we meet
Losing you would take it's tole
Words whispered softly,
just for you to hear.
"I love you . . .
and I just need you near."
