LoveA word with the meaning of heart,
spoken many ways.
When people are thrown apart,
across mountains and bays
to each other,
does the word still drift?
Or is the word now said to another?
Though the sands of Time do slip
Through the fingers of the unwilling.
Will the alienated lovers
Hold tight to the life that lay in their hands,
To the hearts that they have pledged
Or is distance too much for the love of man
They say love is worth fighting for
But does this love you speak of
Withstand the pain and take more
Awaiting the sign of a white dove,
Sent to relieve them of their harm
For the world is against them
Every building, tree, and farm
“Never give up” are the words they speak
As everything comes crashing down
Their heart forever they will keep,
No matter what burdens they are bound
If you love someone hold them tight
Even if the world is fighting back
Love is a gift to unlock ones sight
a happiness you will never lack
