Since you're just saying that acids are delicious, why don't you try some SULPHURIC ACID???
(don't actually do it, it's the strongest acid known to man-kind right now... pH O.3-1 depending)

Why don't I try sulphuric acid?
• Ingestion exposures: Ingestion may cause hemorrhaging, necrosis and
perforation in the GI tract, typically more severe in the stomach and
intestinal tract than in the esophagus. Delayed effects have been noted,
including perforation, GI hemorrhage, fistula formation or delayed stricture.

ANYONE with at least a scrap of intelligence would be able to comprehend the meaning behind my words!!!!

Well, I have a full complement of intelligence, and it operates on a completely different level than a scrap.

Yes really. In fact, a scrap of intelligence cannot even comprehend the great leaps of logic required to be me. They are so great that they seem as foolishness.

We are not. I hate shopping for gifts... I always have so much trouble deciding what to get.

Get everyone to write a sticky structured like this:
Name
Location of desk/Somewhere a note could be put...
Generalization of desired gift (e.g. logic puzzles, books, music scores, etc.)
That's what we did... Oh right, we put a budget on the gift, too... ($10-20). Try doing it like that!!!! The notes I got were the really broad generic ones... *sigh* I've narrowed it down so that three people aren't my secret santa... (fail...)

Isn't the point of a Secret Santa to be secret about it? You can always get the person a can of beans or a box of cereal, and they will never know it was you.

That's EVERYONE in the class... I may as well just tell her that I'm in her class... Or that I'm a girl... or that I have a face... I'm thinking about drawing one manga eye... (without the eyebrows)... You know how they're disconcerting and stuff when they're on their own... it may just work!!!

There's an idea. Draw a self portrait, then cut it into a puzzle and give her one piece at a time until she figures it out. Or take a picture and make a silhouette out of it.

I'm giving her the gift tomorrow... The next clues I gave her were:
- I hate beetles
- I am not taking French
I had to give her clues that would actually get her SOMEWHERE... I could make it so that she's still got tons of suspects, right?

Acaykath In reply to KanamexYuuki-fan [2011-12-14 01:42:03 +0000 UTC]
Heh, if she's not taking french either, she might not know everyone else's schedules to know who is to eliminate them. As for the beetles, I think that would cover most girls and a good portion of guys.

She takes French... Guess what? No one said they didn't hate beetles, so apparently it was a useless clue...

Pretty much... I mean, I lightly punch the person nearest to me saying "Punchbuggy, no punch backs!" I'm guessing they probably hate those, then... I'm apathetic though...

You're doing it wrong. If it doesn't bruise, then you haven't punched hard enough.

I don't want to kill them, I just do it for fun! (Bruising would mean that they'd try to get ME back at the next possible opportunity, which would result in MORE bruising on my part!!! Ever heard of "an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind"?)

Acaykath In reply to KanamexYuuki-fan [2011-12-16 04:13:05 +0000 UTC]
They get back at you, you get back at them, it's like badminton, but with a more even playing-field. If you knock them over, and they are not standing on the edge of a pool, then you probably punched too hard.
As for the "an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind", it is only true in an unreasonable implementation of the rule. When enacting justice, the implementer of the punishment is not causing harm to an innocent person in such a way that he needs to receive the punishment as well. If they were, then I suppose blind people would have a set job, you can't take an eye someone doesn't have. By that type of logic, every soldier in a country with the death penalty should be killed after going to war, and then their executioners as well. At some point, there has to be limits. The whole point of "an eye for an eye" is that the punishment should fit the crime, it should be neither too lenient nor too harsh. The whole quote (Exodus 21:22-24) states that if two men fight and injuries result, the judge shall decide the punishment - life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot. Of course it becomes completely irresponsible when taken completely out of context.

I don't knock people over!!! (well, heheheh... )
Argh... you know what I mean... I was reading "The Cask of Amontillado" the other day, (What, Poe is one of my favourite authors!) don't you think that this phrase fits in it though? I mean, so many different things could have happened if Montresor didn't get his revenge...

I don't know about Montresor, but some perceived slight or slander is no excuse for a slow death by suffocation from being essentially buried alive. He definitely did not follow the eye for an eye principle.

And I am saying that his writing style was pretty boring when he wasn't high. I personally think drugs are bad (even in his case), but he was one of the exceptions where it had a real positive impact. I wonder if, had he never started taking opium, would he have unlocked the full potential of his creativity without it with time?
