Vashti is the unofficial team leader, she plans the expeditions and chooses the missions, but her decisions can be easily outvoted by her teammates since she doesn't have the force of will to press her views and decisions onto other people.

She tries to get Margo to plan and lead as well, but Margo is a lazy f^ck who lets everything slide, and is more likely to contribute to the problem than help fix it.

Vashti grew up working hard as a farm girl in her family's fields. She developed a strong sense of responsability, especially through her need to help care for three younger siblings.
She was always a little distant from other kids because she prioritized work and was easy to bully. Margo eventually became her bodyguard, promising to look after her. This inspired Vashti to get stronger and defend herself so Margo wouldn't have to.
