Drew fanart of Dogtanian, from Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds, a early 80's cartoon I've been re-watching lately, and in spite of the occasionally ropey voice clip, it's been holding up really well.

I only really know about this show thanks to my dad having taped it on VHS before I was born. It's got a adorable cast, and is a surprising straight adaption of Alexandre Dumas's book. The show also features a surprising amount of minor characters getting killed off by sword, gunfire and cannon fire(!), alcohol and other such things. Basically this series is a total unknown in the US since in spite of the incredibly childish theme song, it had some dark stuff.

I may have taken inspiration from Dogtanian himself for one of my own OC's, Patch. Especially the big cute doofy nose, which is when Patch's design really clicked for me.
