Marla staring at the horizon, then suddenly... YOU... as a fly get closer to her. She will splat you later xDD

I hope this gives you my independent process of animation.

So this is what sort of my intro would look like basically, I will take advantage of TBA 3D Plain.
Currently making my maps in Blender but it's way time consuming so heck just made a simple 3D like using TBA's Real 3D Space.

My computer is totally slow at rendering these days. Of course since my PC lost it's Gold Data Pin needle for transfer and it's living with my dad's lead solder and super glue. Guess I have to buy a computer instead of Cintiq 22 or 24.

Hmmm, I think it might've been better if the hair moved or something too. So she isn't so static

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AceLive-Project In reply to HIROmanga [2013-03-20 17:02:51 +0000 UTC]

Static or what not, that's still hard to compose especially not only her hair, there's missing tweens in it but everything is covered on final cut. Nah, all anime is static unless wind pass by but the camera shall hid the slice xD

HIROmanga In reply to AceLive-Project [2013-03-20 17:09:16 +0000 UTC]

Haha not all anime - Tell that to Gainax. In any case anime with low budgets and a LOT of freeze frames (frames where only the mouth moves) are pretty terrible.

AceLive-Project In reply to HIROmanga [2013-03-20 17:12:50 +0000 UTC]

Gahaha, this is the result of watching to much hentai with static motions xDD anyways, not yet Studio Ghibli skill but haha, something to improve from time to time.

Haha nice. I'm working my way to Gainax level. They have a history of kicking serious ass when making anything anime. They even do the GOOD naruto fight scenes.

It's amazing to see just how many steps there are in making an animation, and it's great that you've documented it like this. Good work!

AceLive-Project In reply to FischHead [2013-03-21 06:22:17 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! I already did it before but I wanted to show how I input 3D BG like on some of my animations. You should take note from it too so you might know how animators in studio cheat their way to create easy illusions rather than draw it all xD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

FischHead In reply to AceLive-Project [2013-03-21 15:22:37 +0000 UTC]

Wish I could have "cheated" in school, but we weren't allowed to do anything
digitally. We HAD to scan our hand-drawn frames.

My animation was good, but it was only 1.5 seconds long because we couldn't take
shortcuts, or nobody told us about them, at least.

AceLive-Project In reply to FischHead [2013-03-21 15:33:10 +0000 UTC]

Haha since you're studying animation, your school should have taught you about the process and basic steps like story > script > storyboard > layout > Keyframe > Inbetween > cleaning > color > background > video edit> directors cut > final edit render > production > $$$$

Video edit and final edit render will give huge opportunity for editors to fill it up but in your case, as a student, you have to do that cause they will check it but if it is a hobby then okay but as a job, if you're director is not okay with it, he can even ask you to repeat all of it lol so yeah that's the difference but some directors like the cheat idea but some don't cause it made their animator looks lazy after getting payed per hour xD

geek96boolean10 In reply to ??? [2013-03-20 14:22:37 +0000 UTC]

nice job. but it could definitely use more frames during the quick turn sequence.

what software do you use for the animating?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AceLive-Project In reply to geek96boolean10 [2013-03-20 14:28:12 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I figured that out but anyways I think my 3D background needs more illusion to make it disappear out of question xDD but anyways, all will be remixed when final cut was worked well as the blur tends to derive the visual motion away (Cheating within the frames xDD)

Oh I use Toon Boom Animate Pro and Anime Studio Pro 9. It's on the description. I use Sony Vegas for final touch.

Do you have some talent in animation field though?
Well, I'm not gonna promise you anything but if I ever did get
into any japanese studio or even american studio relating to animation,
I will send you invitation. Of course, it comes with a ticket xD
Cause you and probably most people here wanted to team up with me
and I myself wanted to team up with everyone here as well. ^__^

Gahaha, I thought you would, I would ask how you operate Retas Pro as
Studio Ghibli use that animation like Toon Boom Animate Pro though Retas is 100% better.

I wanted to ask the benefits before I buy a software and yes, I think I'm going to be serious on animation than programming. I guess I will not benefit in programming anyways.

talent? I wouldn't say talent, but I have practice drawing anime, I've done some short animations of my own, and I have patience. XD [link] is an animation I did for a school project.

AceLive-Project In reply to geek96boolean10 [2013-03-21 10:29:57 +0000 UTC]

Hey, not bad. I think that's a job well done. I guess it's more actions the my digital animations. This is actually how my project looks like when I started with digital animation back in 2008 >>> [link]

It's not really my first animation but this animation get me some recognition in highschool and most people admire and start forming an anime team of my own. Yes, I do have a team to animate with ever since. I could do both Team and Independent animation and all of us are equipped with Toon Boom Animate Pro as it has online Harmony for project solution which is really what we need. Although, your software must be license to access harmony as they block illegal softwares.

Anyways, do you flash to make that. Hey I like it! I'm 2nd liker xD and I made a comment on the video. It looks like a sad story to me. xD

geek96boolean10 In reply to AceLive-Project [2013-03-21 10:42:32 +0000 UTC]

wow - it is interesting. did you develop it further afterwards?

I didn't - I actually used 'Pencil', which you mentioned in your animation's description. I split it into over 10 different scenes because Pencil kept crashing, so you see some weird mistakes every now and then. Thanks for your support!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AceLive-Project In reply to geek96boolean10 [2013-03-21 10:50:59 +0000 UTC]

Not currently but I believe I will this year to show the improvement so far xD

Yeah, Pencil software is free but it crash a lot, that why each frames I made, I save it and it's good for exporting and edit it complete on sai. I only used Pencil for small projects cause Toon Boom sometimes lag, especially for vector, it's better HD like 1920x1080 or below bigger like my normal project size of 720x480 or 2x like 1440x960 with aspect ratio of 1.000

Yes, that's the key in animation. Each scene is done in different project file. I store them in a folder and name each scene folders like scene 1 , scene 2 xD but you know, animation always smoother if you have made storyboarding. Back then here in my animation I link into you, I don't use storyboard style and I have no idea and just draw. So then I figure out the easy way and there, I can make key frames without trouble of planning ahead using storyboard. I also made some storyboard uploads here, you gotta check it out.

Screeeeeech you're really good ; w ; How did you get the background in there, exactly? What software are you using? Was it the same software you used for your character? //sorry I'm really curious
