Description Welcome back, folks. A few things to unpack here. First of all, this is another picture from years ago. It was after I'd decided to have all seven of my characters furries, and decided to make the muscle of the group a red-haired woman named Ruby. What I hadn't finalized at the time, though, was what species to make Ruby. Unlike her predecessor, Grunt, Ruby was intended to have a strong, almost maternal bond with another member of the team, Fuzz, as both a sort of vulnerability point and a sign of her softer side, while maintaining that she's a tough girl boss. That softer side would later extend to children and other small creatures, and Ruby would become an anti-bully. Anyway, I figured a red kangaroo would be a good way to go as they're basically known for being maternal, strong, and able to fight. The issue was that (at the time at least), I didn't know how to draw a convincing enough female anthropomorphic kangaroo. Seriously, I showed this picture to my mother, and she said that it looked like a kangaroo, but she couldn't tell if it was female or not. I'd kind of been leaning towards "squirrel" anyway, and I'll explain why on my next post. Until then, thanks for clicking!
