Description Next in my ACEO fairytale series,Bluebeard.Here you can see a wip,for those who have been asking me about the size and what an ACEO is.

Also,a link for those who might not be familiar with the tale.(There are other variations too of course)

I love everything about this piece: her expression, hair and dress, and the incredible detail and use of colour. Can't wait to see what you do with Beauty and the Beast, by far one of my favourite fairytales.

Ah yes, I just saw it pop up among my messages, just as beautiful as I had hoped. I was especially drawn to the shadow of the Beast you see in the background. Looking forward to seeing more of your work in the future

This is gorgeous. I love her expression. She looks so frightened and, at the same time, saddened and disappointed and bewildered. It's very delicate, very interesting. I love the palate you chose for this and the reoccurring theme of the pearls. It's really lovely.

I must say, though, I find it difficult to imagine the story of Bluebeard taking place in a Western country, because the storybook that I had (illustrated by Edmund Dulac) showed it taking place in India (or Arabia, the book is very vague and inconsistent on this point, lol) and I don't know if that imagery will ever leave my head.

The dress is gorgeous, I love the puffy sleeves. And well....your people are all pretty so....I can't comment much on that. Agh and...I just love the pearls-in-the-hair thing you do. It adds a touch of finesse to any picture even to those pictures--like yours--that are beautiful enough without it. Like the cherry on top.

But yeah, first time I read Blue-beard it was creepy. I think someone else said that as well... Must have to do with all of those corpses hanging from the ceiling...
