Description
I'm very curious to see who the younger queen to cast down Cersei will be (if be). Margaery and Dany are too obvious in my opinion and i kind of like Dany queen of Easteros(?) better. I included Myrcella because i thought that would be an interesting scenario, though i imagine she would be more of a pawn/puppet queen, through the Martells perhaps, and Sansa because though i can't see her as queen i find it the most fitting that she'd be the one to bring about Cersei's downfall. She's kind of like a dark horse for me and i'd love to see a phoenix-like rebirth for her through the Alayne Stone persona. This time i went for a Margaery closer to what i imagined her, curly hair, scheming and all, than TV show-wise. Cersei in that magnificent armour-gown from the last episode of the second season doing what she would have always wanted, becoming king.
Who do you think/like to be the queen of Cersei's prophecy?

I think it couldn't be Myrcella, becouse in the prophecy it is said that Cersei will see her children die before "the younger queen" will arrive.
Your picture is beautiful. your sketches are so delicae and elegant

Ah, you're right. There goes one of my theories..
And i had actually liked the idea of Myrcella becoming a better queen than Cersei.
Thanks for your nice words about my sketches!

Love the artwork. Can you produce it in color? I see Sansa as the Queen that will over take Cersei at this point. Maybe there will be a new character in the next book to add to this list, but right now my money is on Sansa.

I want Sansa to become the Queen in the North, but she could very well be the queen who destroys Cersei. I think with all the parallels betweent Cersei and Sansa that it would be fitting.

Sansa or Margaery is my bet
People seem to forget that the queen isn't only younger and more beautiful but she also takes what Cersei holds dear. Margaery's taking Tommen, Jaime's ignoring Cersei and running after Sansa and they both unintentionally caused Joffrey's death. Dany on the other hand in miles away form Cersei and hasn't touched anything that she holds dear.
I would love it to be Sansa how brilliant would it be if the girl Cersei mocked, scorned, degraded and abused turned out to be her deadliest foe
The queen being Sansa or Margaery is the only way Cersei can learn from all the foolish mistakes she made, and realise just how stupid and incompetent she really is. If it was anyone lese it would be rather dull
it would be as though this was out of her control and she couldn't stop it. All her flaws, folly and ridiculousness would mount to nothing

Actually I think that Daenerys is the queen of Cersei's prophecy. It might be very obvious to the reader. But you have to remember that Cersei doesn't even know she exists...and not listening to the rumours about dragons and so on it will be a horrible suprise for her, when she appears. A real blow! Oh I'd love reading about this...
I might like it to be Sansa, just out of revenge...wouldn't that be ironic after all the calling "stupid" etc. But I don't think that will happen.
I'd love it to be Arya!!!! Though that's even less probable. Even if she'd marry Gendry or some other king or king-related person. She is more the type of creeping into Cersei's bedroom, giving her the fright of her life, making her regret everything (no cut that, I don't think that's possible...Cersei would need a heart for regretting) and finally killing her.
As for Margaery...Cersei thinks it's her...so she's definitely not the young queen.
And I doubt it's Myrcella and only hope that she will somehow suvive the whole game and winter and maybe marry Prince Trystane and be happy...I wish it to her...poor child.

I like the idea of it being Myrcella, even that Maggie said something about Ceresi's children wearing golden shrouds... but then again, everyone dies. I also like Sansa being queen in North, though I doubt it will happen. The prophecy probably meant Dany, but ah.
There is also Val the wildling princess 8D
Anyway, this is a lovely drawing~

omg, it's beautiful. I really hope it will be dany, and then she and sansa become friends and she makes sansa queen of the north and everybody is happy and they live happily ever after. yeah, good luck with that, but i can hope
i love that you didn't follow the martell fashion from the series, because i thought they looked quite weird, this dress is waaay more beautiful and fitting <3

I think the most obvious is Dany, but I really think Sansa will become Queen in the North.
And, there's no leaving out Arya, she's been compared to her aunt, Lyanna Stark, who was considered one of the most beautiful women of her time (managing to ensnare the mighty Rhaegar Targaryen's affections). From a young age Arya was always considered ugly and boyish, being nicknamed "Arya Horseface" by her sister, but as the series goes on, she's recognized as beautiful, even at ages 10-12. It's possible Arya could be Cersei's downfall as well, also symbolizing her aunt Lyanna, whom was a enemy figure in Cersei's mind, "stealing" both the men she wanted: Robert and Rhaegar. So Arya coming back as a beautiful reminder of those ghosts Cersei has would be a lovely spin. And Cersei is on Arya "Hit List" so the two meeting is likely. Arya could kill Cersei. . . .
Omg what am I doing. Got a little wrapped up there, sorry! Haha. Lovely drawing!

Could you name these people that considered Arya to be beautiful? I honestly can't remember anyone describing her as such.

Whelp, I'm not sure anyone that had POV chapters deemed her beautiful so bluntly, but there were arbitrary instances, forgive me, I cannot recall the exact moments and page numbers, where she described men (surely some from the brotherhood or in passing) that stared at her, assuming when Arya says "watched" or "stared" she means they looked at her in a way that suggested they thought highly of her appearance. There was another instance when the Kindly Man said something to her at the end of DwD, probably her last POV chapter, where he told Arya she would be taught by Izembaro and that they would have to find her a new face to wear, one "that [was] even more beautiful than [her] own," or something along those lines.
And, as I said before, Arya was often compared, by Ned many times, in spirit and appearance to Lyanna, again as I said, who was known to be very beautiful.

Rabbit88 In reply to ToujoursPurBlack [2012-11-24 13:37:34 +0000 UTC]
I always thought that they stared at her, because of her behaviour. I don't think she socialized with boys going to the Wall that much except for Gendry and few others, which may have seemed suspicious to some people.
And yes, Arya was compared to Lyanna, as in her personality, not her looks. They were both strong willed and I think Ned said that Lyanna had some "wolf" in her, which would imply that the same applies to Arya. Though they both shared some Stark traits, like dark hair and so on, they were not similar in every other way.
As for the kindly man, we don't know what he meant with those words.
I'm not saying that Arya wouldn't become beautiful later in the books, but from what I've read so far, she is not beautiful, but not ugly eiher.
Then again, I may be wrong. That's just my own impression from the books.

ToujoursPurBlack In reply to Rabbit88 [2012-11-24 21:26:14 +0000 UTC]
I agree that she wasn't beautiful at the current time, she was boyish and had the hard Stark features, compared to Ned often, yes, but I always assumed Arya would grow into her features and become more beautiful as she got older.
I might be mistaken, but when reading, especially DwD and FFC, I can recall instances where she was stared at, but of course the meaning behind the looks are exposed for interpretation by the reader, so people might have completely different assumptions.
I'll have to look into those instances more, and if I find anything that supports the claim I won't hesitate to cite! Or, if I find anything that concurs with what you have said, I'll be sure to include that as well.
On the ASOIAF WIKI page there's a description of Arya under "Character and Description" that says "at the start of the story, she is generally regarded as plain, as exemplified by her nickname "Arya Horseface," and often mistaken for a boy. However, there are instances of her being called pretty, compared to the beautiful Lyanna[2], and catching the eye of men later in the books."
My speculation was always this, her not being particularly beautiful but developing attractive qualities later.

Okay, I was a complete idiot! I also read that part from ASOIAF wiki. Maybe I let my impression of her get in the way when I was reading the books and I never noticed when people were mentioning her looks in a positive way. In short, my bad^^'

No worries! Perhaps I glorified her appearance in my mind a bit as well, haha. I'm a massive Lyanna Stark fan and was eager to see the similarities between the two Stark she-wolfs, I love how they both share a wild disposition, I probably got carried away as well. Arya was always described as boyish or homely, I just noticed all the instances where she was described as something else for a change. It's always good to have a hearty discussion, keeps me sharp on the facts haha. Cheers!
