Description
Another sketch from 2011 i finally came around to adding colour to. You can see it as a sketch here achen089.deviantart.com/art/Un… .I think i haven't loved another animated film as much as Tangled since the early Disney Renaissance ones.
Pencil, watercolours, white gouache, 10x17.5 cm.

This is gorgeous! I love her expression, like there's a sadness in realizing how much Rapunzel's missed out on in life. You've really captured a huge part of what makes this scene (as well as the movie itself) so special: that life is a beautiful and precious thing and if you spend it cooped up, you'll miss out on what makes it so beautiful.
