Growing up in the rougher districts, Kaela witnessed firsthand the disparity between the city’s affluent elite and those struggling to survive in the shadow of towering skyscrapers. Her parents, both dedicated community activists, instilled in her a strong sense of justice and a deep compassion for those less fortunate.
